Please be informed that the DOE has issued the Department Circular No. DC2023-05-0012 or the Guidelines on the Electric Vehicle (EV) Recognition and Adoption of EV Standard Classification on Road Transport for Incentive Eligibility Pursuant to the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA).

For a harmonized EV classification, see attached List of Recognized Electric Vehicles (EVs).
All road transport vehicle manufacturers, assemblers, importers, and rebuilders (MARs) with EVs not included in the list shall apply in accordance to the requirements provided in the DC2023-05-0012.
