TAGUIG CITY - In line with the Department of Energy's (DOE) commitment to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s intensified fight against graft and corruption, the DOE entered into a partnership with the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), together with the other agencies and instrumentalities under the Executive Branch last 21 August 2021.

Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi said, "Now more than ever, the anti-corruption campaign of the President should be heightened and, as public servants, it is our moral responsibility to deliver our tasks with utmost transparency and integrity."

During the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA ) signing, Secretary Cusi joined the other heads of offices of the executive department. 

Part of the DOE’s obligation under the MOA, DOE Department Order (DO) No. DO2021-09-0012 was issued on 7 September 2021 for the Creation of the ENERGY Family-wide Anti-Corruption Coordinating Committee (ENERGY-ACCC) and the DOE and DOE-Attached Agencies Anti-Corruption Committees. 

The ENERGY-ACCC and the DOE-ACC are chaired by Undersecretary Alexander S. Lopez, while the respective DOE Attached Agency-ACC will be chaired by the second most-senior agency official.

To facilitate the implementation of the said DOE Senior Undersecretary Jesus P. Posadas, in behalf of Secretary Cusi, convened and presided  the Joint Inaugural and Organizational (virtual) Meeting of the ENERGY-ACCC and DOE-ACC, held on 24 September 2021. The respective members of the ENERGY ACCC and DOE ACC pledged their Sworn Manifesto and Oath of Honesty during the inaugural meeting. 

The event was also attended by PACC representatives led by Rear Admiral Amable B. Tolentino (Ret), who provided guidance and also responded to several queries and clarifications raised by the members.
